Static Factory Recording Studio
Located in the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, our low-cost in-house recording facility is the perfect place for project recording, voice over work, internet radio broadcasts, and session rehearsals. With our comfortable recording rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and knowledgeable staff, we can give artists, performers, DJs, or radio personalities what they need to be heard around the world. We want to work with you to make the best recording possible.
At over 200 square feet, and built on a sand cushion, the main recording room is a floating chamber designed for sound absorption, especially for isolating drums and extraneous noise. The secondary room, a 20 square-foot booth, is ideal for isolating vocals, guitar cabinets, and auxiliary percussion when recording several musicians at a time. The studio offers a range of instruments and equipment for use in-house such as drums, guitars, synthesizers, PA, and headphone amps. Plus, we offer session musicians for any project.
The control room features a Mackie 2404 as the main mixing console and JBL-V6 monitors. We feature the ProTools DIGI02 digital recording system as a core recording device, two 16 bit digital Alesis ADATs for recording 16 simultaneous tracks and a D16 digital hard disk recorder for smaller projects. We operate in a Windows XP environment and offer the following audio applications: Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, Real Media, Helix, and Windows Media Streaming. A Fostex CR300 is available for making industry standard CD-Rs.
